Good News For Community College Students
Sacramento, CA– There’s good news for Columbia College students. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed legislation that guarantees community college graduates admission to a California State University.
The Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act which takes effect in the fall of 2011, allows students who earn an associate’s degree at one of California’s two-year colleges to complete a bachelor’s degree at a Cal State campus with an additional 60 credits. CSU and community college officials believe the change will make the transferring process more efficient and help save millions of dollars.
