Sonora, CA– In celebration of National Public Lands Day, the Mi-Wok Ranger District of the Stanislaus Forest Service will participate in this year’s Great Sierra River Clean Up  Saturday, September 25.

Thousands of volunteers will come together for a single day dedicated to cleaning the fifteen rivers of the Sierra Nevada range. Tens of thousands of pounds of trash will be collected, from cars to cigarettes, to tires and beverage containers.

Volunteers are needed and pre-registration is required. For more information call Jay Cassidy at the Tuolumne County Resource Conservation District at (209) 533-8866.
