Drug And Child Endangerment Arrest

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA– Sonora Police officers arrested two people from Paso Robles on drug and child endangerment charges this week.

Police responded to the emergency room at Sonora Regional Medical Center at 4 am Wednesday for a report of two people being treated for an alleged assault. When officers arrived, they learned that both 26 year old Daniel Jacobsen and 20 year old Elissa Fritz had driven to the emergency room with Fritz’s 10 month old baby. Jacobsen and Fritz were now being treated for prescription drug overdoses.

A search of the couple’s vehicle in the parking lot found empty prescription pill bottles, a variety of prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Jacobsen was also on felony probation out of Calaveras County for possession of drugs.

Officers believe Jacobsen and Fritz created a story about being attacked, so they could obtain more prescription pills from the emergency room, not knowing they were already overdosing on prescription pills. After Jacobsen and Fritz were treated, they were arrested and transported to Tuolumne County jail.
