School Bond Measure To Be Discussed

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA– Sonora Elementary School trustees will be discussing Measure H at this Wednesday’s board meeting.  If approved, $7.8 million dollars could be allocated to the school district for health and safety improvements, fire and plumbing upgrades and classroom, restroom and library modernization.

Tuolumne County School Superintendent Joe Silva is optimistic that the board will approve the bond measure and says, “The vote will be close but I think it will be in favor of it. These are tough economic times, the board understands that, and we also have citizens that are great and very giving and I think it will be supportive.”

Measure H will appear on the November ballot if passed by the Board of Trustees.
