Rain Helps Yosemite Fire

Yosemite, CA — A lightning caused fire in Yosemite has grown minimally over the past few days.
The Slope Fire near Harden Lake is currently 597 acres. Very light rain hit the Yosemite area (1/10 inch) yesterday, which fire crews say helped slow the rate of spread. Crews are continuing to manage the fire for ecological purposes. The Harden Lake areas and the trail to Pate Valley from Harden Lake remain closed due to fire activity. The fire was first spotted on July 25.
