Kathy Bramblett, organizer and event spokesperson for the local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 391, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

This two day event provides something for the whole family; cars, bikes, airplanes, food, music and more. All makes, models and years of cars and “motor” bikes are welcome.

This year’s car show parking will be on a beautiful grass runway with plenty of room for all.

Registration is $30 per vehicle ($35 both days) which includes admission to the airshow.

The Fly-In fun starts both Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 am with the traditional Boy Scout Troop Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast, followed by each day’s festivities. The fly-in hours are from 8 AM – 3:30 PM both days.

On Saturday night there will be a free hangar dance! The band Burn Permit will provide music for your listening and dancing pleasure from 6 to 10 pm. The public is welcome.

Airplane rides are available in various aircraft and this year including a tethered balloon ride.

Any aviation enthusiast will enjoy this show, which includes aerial demonstrations and many vintage, classic, experimental and restored aircraft on hand for viewing by the public.

Additionally, there will be plenty of vendors with various collectibles, food and drink.

Admission is only $5 at the gate (free for children aged 12 and under) with free parking and a shuttle ride available from the Columbia Elementary campus.
