Congressional Approval Ratings
Washington, DC — A Field Poll finds that 71 percent of California voters disapprove of the job performance of the U.S. Congress.
19 percent say the Congress is doing a good job. The approval rate is actually higher than the last poll taken in March when 79 percent disapproved and 12 percent thought Congress was doing a good job. The last time California voters approved of Congress’ job performance was April 2003, when 50 percent approved and 39 percent disapproved.
Currently 45 percent of Californians approve of the job their individual district representative is doing, 31 percent disapprove and 24 percent have no opinion.
