Triple Digits Continue

Sponsored by:

The Motherlode is on the second of four straight days of anticipated triple digit temperatures.

Downtown Sonora recorded a high temperature reading of 105 degrees on Thursday.

Friday is expected to be the warmest day of the heat wave, with Motherlode temperatures ranging anywhere from 100 and 110 degrees. Overnight temperatures will range from the mid 60s to mid 70s.

According to the National Weather Service, the triple digit temps will come to an end on Monday.

Please remember to never leave children or pets in an automobile. Additionally, limit your outdoor activity, wear light colored clothing, use sunblock and drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids. Check on your neighbors as well.
