Air Ambulance Assists Injured Cyclist

Tuttletown, CA — A Stockton woman suffered major injuries while visiting the Tuttletown Campground at New Melones Reservoir.

The CHP says 38 year old Maria Alvarez was riding her bicycle Saturday evening down a two lane roadway and lost control of the bike. She fell off and hit her head on the pavement. Nearby campers heard a call for help and rendered medical aid until emergency crews could arrive. Alvarez was airlifted to Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto for reported head trauma. The accident occurred at 8:10pm.
