Miller Halfway Through Term
Sonora, CA — Tim Miller is halfway through his term as Interim Sonora City Administrator.
Miller was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Miller took over for outgoing City Manager Greg Applegate on August 2nd.
“Even before taking over I was attending Council and Commission meetings so that I could become familiar with the agenda items,” says Miller. “I’ve been becoming more familiar with the budget process and development projects, like Walmart and other projects.”
Miller had been hired for a six month period. At the end of the period, the Sonora City Council will decide whether to retain Miller’s services in a full-time capacity or open up the search.
Miller has previously served as the Community Development Director for both the City of Los Banos and the City of Atwater. He also spent time working on the U.C. Merced Community Plan Project, and most recently worked as a planning consultant for his private company.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47.
