Sonora, CA — A woman living in a Sonora homeless camp has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
The Sonora Police Department says the camp is located behind the Lowe’s project off Old Wards Ferry Road.
34-year-old Misty Rudy got into verbal confrontation with one of the camp visitors and allegedly used a belt made of metal chains to assault the 45-year-old unidentified male. The victim sustained lacerations and a broken tooth as a result of the fight.
The Police Department responded and Rudy was arrested without incident. She has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony corporal injury to a co-habitant.
