Weekend Weather Includes Rain & Hot Temperatures
The National Weather Service says that there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Sierra Nevada this afternoon and evening.
If thunderstorms do occur, streams may rise quickly.
Humidity will remain high in the Motherlode through Sunday evening.
Temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 90’s. However, the real warm-up begins on Sunday with temperatures ranging from 100 to 108 in many locations. Monday will be only a couple of degrees cooler.
If you’re in the Sierra Nevada this weekend, keep in mind that the rivers, streams and creeks all remain cold. Hypothermia can set in quickly, so please use plenty of caution.
