Groundbreaking For Avalon Expansion

Sonora, CA – A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon for the expansion of the Avalon Health Care Facility in Sonora.
Avalon has agreed to take over skilled nursing services that are offered through Tuolumne General Medical Facility, and will be adding 92 beds adjacent to its current location at 19929 Greenley Road.
Avalon CEO David Dangerfield says construction will last approximately one year, with an expected opening date of July of 2011.
Sonora based California Gold Development Corporation is overseeing construction.
