Interim Sonora City Administrator

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Tim Miller has been selected to serve as Interim City Administrator for the City of Sonora.

Miller has approximately 30 years of experience working in the public and private sectors. He served as the Community Development Director for both the City of Los Banos and the City of Atwater. He also spent time working on the U.C. Merced Community Plan Project, and most recently worked as a planning consultant for his private company.

“It’s a challenging time, but it’s a great opportunity,” says Miller. “Greg Applegate has left the city in great shape, there’s a great staff to work with, and the council has a long history of having a stable government.”

Miller’s first day will be August 2nd, and he will serve as City Administrator for at least six months. At that time the City Council will decide whether it wants to extend the contract.

Miller and his wife reside in the Confidence area.

The decision to hire Miller was made during a closed session meeting Monday night.
