Robbery Suspect Faces Additional Charges

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA – A robbery suspect that was caught after stealing an I-Phone and Glock 17 handgun has now been linked to another incident.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department placed 41-year-old Raymond Seagraves under arrest last week after he broke into a Mokelumne Hill residence and took multiple items. He was captured after the victim sent out a “GPS ping” to the stolen cell phone and found that it was located in Seagraves truck parked at his Pope Street home in San Andreas.
Detectives later searched Seagraves residence, and a dresser was found that was stolen from a Vallecito home on June 6th.

The Sheriff’s Department says further investigation found that a friend of Seagrave’s, 36-year-old Rebecca Gonzales, was in possession of stolen night stands that had also been taken from the Vallecito home. The nightstands were recovered out of county, where they were disposed of by Gonzales, at the direction of Seagraves, in order to conceal them from law enforcement.

Charges of possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit a crime and destruction of evidence are pending for both suspects.
