Service Scheduled For Lcpl. Brummund

Arnold, CA – A service to remember and honor Lcpl. Gavin R. Brummund will be held Saturday at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.
Brummund was fatally injured on June 10 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The 22-year-old from Arnold leaves behind his wife Michaela, and parents Gregg Brummund and Debbie Morris. He was a 2006 Bret Harte High School graduate.
According to the family, the service will start at 6pm Saturday at the Fairgrounds and the doors will open at 4pm. The community is invited to attend.
