DUI Accident Starts Small Fire

Copperopolis, CA — A Copperopolis man was arrested for DUI after running his jeep into a tree and causing a small fire.
The CHP says it occurred Tuesday in the 1800 block of Copper Cove Drive at around 5:45pm.
The Jeep was driven by 51-year-old Martin Bacobacoccini. After striking an oak tree, authorities say the jeep caught fire and it spread to some nearby vegetation. Bacobacoccini suffered moderate injuries. The fire was put out within minutes.
