Columbia Airport’s Father’s Day Fly-In

Sponsored by:

The 44th annual Father’s Day Fly-In at the Columbia Airport is set for June 19th and 20th. This year is special for Columbia, because it marks the 75th year of operation for the airport. Many classic and restored aircraft will be on hand for viewing by the public with exciting flybys including the famous P51s of which three are expected. The CDF will be there too with exciting fire-bomber demonstrations.

Volunteer and Ramp Boss, Ed Sunday, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

The fun starts both days at 7:00 am with the traditional Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast, followed at 11am by each days festivities. Airplane and biplane rides are available at reasonable cost. Any aviation enthusiast would enjoy this show, with the warbirds and CDF and the experimentals, the smell of Avgas on the air, and the feel of propwash in our hair.

Admission is only $4 for adults at the gate and servicemen and children under 12 are free, with free parking. Be part of history at Columbia this year!!! (for more information go to www.fathersdayflyin.com)

The KVML “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am
