Body Discovered Near Tuolumne

Tuolumne, CA — A body was located in an isolated area northeast of Tuolumne this morning.
The body was wrapped in black plastic and located by the driver of a logging truck along Cottonwood Road.
Sgt. Jeff Wilson of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office says it was removed by authorities with the Department of Justice and has been taken out of the county for further investigation. It is not immediately known if it is a male or female.
Authorities plan to release more information Wednesday morning.
