New Unemployment Stats

Sonora, CA – Tuolumne County’s unemployment rate during April was 14.5 percent and Calaveras County was 16 percent.
California’s unemployment rate remained steady at 12.6 percent.
Statewide, categories that added jobs in April included mining and logging, professional and business services, leisure and hospitality, and government.
The statistics were compiled by the California Employment Development Department.
