Lopez Will Lead CCWD

San Andreas, CA — Joone Kim Lopez has been hired to become the new General Manager of the Calaveras County Water District.

The Board of Directors made the decision following a closed session meeting. Lopez takes over for David Andres who was released from his duties this past May.

Lopez joins CCWD having most recently served as the Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company in San Bernardino County. She previously served as the Deputy General Manager of the Central Basin Municipal Water District. She has a Masters degree in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.

Lopez’s record of public service is extensive, including service as a peace officer with the Pasadena Police Department where she won commendations, including a medal for bravery under fire.

CCWD provides water to approximately 12,500 residential and commercial customers in Calaveras County.
