Fair Drew 43,000

Angels Camp, CA — The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee drew 43,000 people this year.
The Fair hosted children 12 and under for free on Thursday and Friday, and the number of kids attending those two days increased by over 50 percent from last year, and the overall paid attendance increased by 10 percent.
The Junior Livestock auction was also successful this year, raising over $430,000.
Michael Wright of Bozo’s Frog Team had the winning frog jump of 19 feet one inch. The record set in 1986 was 21 feet-five and three quarter inches.
