The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada from Monday 11am through Tuesday 5am, ending in a Winter Weather Advisory through 6am.
A Winter Storm Warning means that snow is inevitable.
Snow levels will range from 6000 through 9000 feet.
The total amount of snow will be three to six inches above 6500 feet. Half an inch to one inch of rain is expected below 6000 feet.
Expect winds from fifteen to twenty-five mph with some gusts up to thirty mph.
