The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Sierra Nevada from Monday 5pm through Tuesday 5am.
Snow levels in the Sierra Nevada will range from 6000 through 8000 feet.
The total amount of snow will be four to seven inches above 8000 feet. Half an inch to one inch of rain is expected in the Sierra below 6000 feet.
Winds will blow from fifteen to twenty-five mph.
In the Motherlode, isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Monday afternoon. Rainfall total will range from a tenth of an inch to as much as a half inch.
