Roundup Kept S.P.D. Busy

Sonora, CA – It was a busy weekend for the Sonora Police Department with the Mother Lode Roundup.
Police Chief Mark Stinson says arrests were up in most areas this year as opposed to last year.
From Friday through Sunday, four D.U.I. arrests were made, six public intoxication arrests, three domestic violence arrests, three warrant arrests, and five driving on a suspended license arrests.
There were also numerous fights during this time period. However, the involved parties didn’t want any type of criminal action taken against each other, or the involved parties fled the area prior to the officers arrival.
The Police Department says there were no major incidents.
