Sonora, CA — The recession has placed an increased need on food banks throughout the area.
The ATCAA Food Bank was notified today that it will receive a $100,000 grant from the Sonora Area Foundation.
Food Bank Director Lee Kimball says the donation is "great news" because one-out-of-every-ten Tuolumne County families is currently seeking food assistance.
Kimball says the grant funding will start rolling in during the month of July, right around the time when funding it received from last year’s S.O.S. drive will run dry.
