Final Step For Lowe’s
Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will vote Monday on whether to change the General Plan so that essentially a portion of land at the intersection of Sanguinetti Road and Old Wards Ferry can be used as a park.
It is expected to pass unanimously and is the final step before Lowe’s can move full speed ahead with construction.
“This has been a five and a half year path that we have gone down and it is certainly gratifying to bring this to a close,” says City Administrator Greg Applegate. “More importantly, it will create some jobs and get some economic development going for the city and county.”
Lowe’s is planning to hold an official groundbreaking Tuesday morning.
