Sonora, CA — Donnell Vista in the Stanislaus National Forest will be closed during the 2010 recreation season.
Workers will be building and repairing trails for the disabled and reconstructing rugged wilderness trails. Work is starting this month and will continue through September.
Several other recreation sites will experience temporary closures as well throughout the coming months. The Forest Service received over $3 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to complete these and other projects.
The Forest Service estimates that 176 jobs will be created in the Stanislaus National Forest with the ARRA funds.
