Tax Dollars Arrive In Sacramento

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — California collected 5.9 percent more tax revenue than the initial state projections for the month of March.

State Controller John Chiang says receipts came in higher and expenditures actually came in lower. Year-to-date revenues are now ahead of budget estimates by 4.1 percent or $2.3 billion.

As of March 31st, Chiang says California’s budget deficit was still an estimated $22.6 billion.
