The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Sierra Nevada from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon.
The snow level will be below 3000 feet. Most of the Motherlode’s foothills will have some snow accumulation.
Twelve to eighteen inches of snow is likely above 3000 feet. A total of up to twenty-four inches of accumulation is possible above 5000 feet.
Winds will gust from thirty-five to forty-five mph.
