Sonora, CA — A two year old Sonora area girl remains hospitalized at the U.C. Davis Medical Center after a Friday afternoon fall.
According to Police Chief Mark Stinson officers along Sonora Fire Department personnel responded to an address on Cottage Court at 4:29pm. The report stated that a child had fallen and was not breathing.
An officer performed CPR and was able to revive the child who was then transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center before being life-flighted to Davis. At last report the child was listed in critical condition with major head injuries.
According to the Police Department report the child had apparently attempted to climb a flight of stairs only to fall and tumble down approximately seven steps to the floor.
Identity of the child was not released by the Police Department.
