Drug Arrest In Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA – Vallecito resident Kyle Jeffrey Hicks faces numerous charges after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop.

Police Chief Dale Mendenhall says Hicks was pulled over in the 600 block of N. Main Street over the weekend because he was driving without a front license plate and had a cracked windshield. An officer noticed that Hicks appeared to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Hicks was arrested and his vehicle was searched. In his possession, officers found a shotgun, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

Hicks faces charges of D.U.I., possession and transportation of a controlled substance, possession of controlled prescription medication and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

A request was also made to the Calaveras County District Attorney to file charges against Hicks for possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.
