Jamestown, CA — Flushing of the T.U.D water distribution system will move to Jamestown and Columbia.
Maintenance crews will be working this coming Monday through Friday from 8am – 3pm. The reason for the flushing is to clear out any sediment or minerals that may accumulate in pipes on an annual basis. T.U.D. says customers shouldn’t be alarmed if they see substantial volumes of water flowing in drainages or alongside the road.
If you have cloudy water after the lines have been flushed, T.U.D. recommends customers turn on an outside hose bibb in order to flush the service line prior to where the water enters the house.
