Flushing Schedule To Continue
Sonora, CA — The annual Tuolumne Utilities District flushing schedule will continue in four areas next week.
According to Customer Service Supervisor Lisa Westbrook the water line flushing process will be conducted in the Cedar Ridge, Ridgewood, Apple Valley and Mono Village areas Monday through Friday, February 22-26 from 8am to 3pm.
T.U.D. reminds residents to not be alarmed if you observe substantial volumes of water flowing in drainages or alongside the roadway. This is typical for flushing.
In addition customers may experience fluctuations in service pressure. If those fluctuations persist contact T.U.D. immediately at 532-5536.
When flushing is occurring T.U.D. recommends not doing laundry. Still another recommendation is to limit water usage as much as possible.
Finally, if you experience cloudy water after the lines have been flushed turn on an outside hose bibb in order to flush the service line prior to where the water enters the residence.
T.U.D. adds that electronic signs will be posted in the respective neighborhoods when the flushing process is underway.
