Teen Remains Critical

Modesto, CA — 16 year Mycheila Rose of Angels Camp remains in critical condition at Modesto’s Memorial Hospital following a high speed crash this past Friday morning.

According to the Calaveras Enterprise Rose was the only one of six in a Toyota Sienna that was not wearing a seat belt when the vehicle rolled three times after the driver lost control traveling at a C.H.P. reported speed of between 70-80 mph on French Gulch Rd. south of Darby Lane.

Rose has multiple skull fractures and brain swelling. She remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

Officially none of the names of those involved has been released because the investigation is continuing.

The 16 year old driver took the vehicle without the permission of her parents. Also in the vehicle; a 19 year old male from Copperopolis, two 16 year old males from Murphys and a 16 year old female also from Murphys.
