Woman Hits Fire Vehicle

San Andreas, CA – An unidentified woman was arrested this morning after sideswiping a fire vehicle.

The CHP says the woman was traveling on Hwy 49 north of San Andreas during the 10 o’clock hour when she hit a marked CAL Fire pickup truck being driven by a Battalion Chief.

The woman proceeded to drive away, and a “be on the lookout” alert was issued by the C.H.P. The woman was later located in the area of Jesus Maria Rd. by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department and arrested by an arriving CHP officer. She was cited for driving under the influence and misdemeanor hit and run.

The name of the woman has not yet been released by authorities.
