Thrift Store For Hospice
A new Hospice Thrift Store is coming to Angels Camp.
Lynne Standard, Manager of the Hospice Thrift Stores of Amador and Calaveras Counties, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The thrift store will be located at 570 N Main Street in Angels Camp. This is the building that most locals know, as the old Perko’s restaurant.
The Hospice stores are designed to help support the mission of Hospice of Amador and Calaveras.
Hospice serves the terminally ill and their families, with in-home nursing and support care as well as to help the caregiver with the patient. The stores provide the gap funding that is needed so that no qualified patient is turned away.
The grand opening should take place towards the end of February. Volunteers to help work in the store are needed.
An informational meeting on the thrift store will take place this afternoon at 1:30 pm at First American Title Company which is located at 23 N Main St in Angels Camp.
