Yosemite Is Open

Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA — Almost all roads leading into Yosemite have reopened after being closed due to snow, ice and fallen trees.

Highways 120 and 140 were reopened this morning. Hwy 41 is open from Yosemite Valley to Chinquapin, but is closed south of Yosemite West to Wawona due to fallen trees. Badger Pass Road is open, but the Hetch Hetchy Road will remain closed through the weekend.

For 24 hour road information and chain restrictions, you can call 209-372-0200. All vehicles coming into the park must carry chains as the weather can change quickly (even vehicles equipped with 4-wheel drive).

Additionally, visitors are urged to be aware of the significant risk of falling trees while driving or walking in the park.
