Sacramento, CA — California drivers that are over the speed limit may soon be caught on camera.
Governor Schwarzenegger is hoping to raise $300 million a year by retrofitting 500 city and county traffic lights to catch drivers that are over the posted limit.
The proposal is included in the Governor’s budget, but must still be approved by lawmakers. Some of the funding collected would be allocated for courthouse security across the state.
