Blood Drive Honoring Local Firefighter
Tuolumne, CA– The Tuolumne City Fire Protection District is hosting the first annual Jordan Reyes Memorial Blood Drive.
Reyes, a 23-year-old firefighter, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 108 and Twain Harte Drive September 15th. Because Reyes received over 26 units of blood following his accident, his family would like to thank the community with a yearly blood drive. They say they would like to ensure that the gift of life continues to be available to those who may need it in the future.
Most recently Reyes worked with the Forest Service Engine 12. He had also worked for the Tuolumne City and Groveland Fire Departments.
The blood drive is set for Tuesday, November 22nd from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Tuolumne City Fire Department at 18690 Main Street in Tuolumne. Scheduled appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome.
