Over $24,000 Awarded To Local Groups
Angels Camp, CA– Thanks to the Calaveras Community Foundation, nine local groups will receive over $24,000 in grant funding.
Award recipients include Mountain Oaks Health Centers, Foothill Fire Protection District, the Arnold Rim Trail Association, Mokelumne Hill Community Church, Good Samaritan Food Pantry, Mountain Ranch Youth Alliance, The Volunteer Center, Mind Matters Clinic and Murphys Senior Center.
This is the 2nd round of 2011 CCF funding. Total competitive grants awarded in 2011 equaled $48,447.
“CCF was able to increase the funding and provides $10,000 more for competitive grants than in 2010,” said Paul Stein, president of the Foundation board of directors. “A generous donation from the Federlein Family Fund at San Francisco foundation enabled CCF to award grant funding to even more applicants this year.”
With this last round of funding, the Calaveras Community Foundation has awarded more than $550,000 in competitive grants, scholarships and assistance since its inception in 2001.
