New Location For Family Medical Center

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA– This week the Mark Twain Health Care District Board of Directors reaffirmed their commitment to the relocation of the Family Medical Center in Angels Camp.

At their meeting yesterday, the board discussed a new improved 4-acre parcel on Stanislaus Avenue which the District purchased in April 2010.

Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital has completed the construction documents for the new 9,000 sq. ft. facility and anticipate review and approval at the Angels Camp Planning Commission on October 13.

“We are very excited about this project for the community,” said Board Chair Lin Reed. “We joined the hospital and the Hospital Foundation to bring this Family Medical Center to Angels Camp. The $4.6 million project is a huge investment in our community and will have a positive impact on access to excellent health care for our residents, especially for women’s health. It will also be a boost to the local economy, with job creation and local contractors responsible for almost one half of the construction dollars.”

The Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation says they are committed to fund the entire project . They are currently working with businesses, residents and other resources such as grant opportunities to support their fund raising.
