Vehicle Fatality In La Grange

La Grange, CA– A solo vehicle accident in La Grange yesterday caused one fatality.

The CHP reports that 30-year-old Jaime Brandon of La Grange was driving his 2001 Kia Rio southbound on Zarzamora Street south of Zarzamora Court at an unknown rate of speed.

As he entered a left curve in the roadway, he traveled onto the gravel shoulder. Brandon was unable to correct his vehicle and continued traveling down a short embankment until the right side of his car hit and up-rooted mature Oak tree.

The impact of the collision sheared off the base of the vehicle’s windshield. The car rotated and the up-rooted tree landed on the front of his car.

Brandon suffered facial injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. His passenger 6-year-old Elisha Brandon was air-lifted to UC Davis Medical Center.

UC Davis Public Information Officer Phyllis Brown today confirmed that Elisha passed away  last night.
