Groundbreaking At Parrotts Ferry Village
Sonora, CA– Tuolumne County’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity is having a special event this weekend.
The official groundbreaking at Parrotts Ferry Village is taking place Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
“There really is the need for this is in Tuolumne County,” said Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Betsy Harden. “When we did ask for the applications the last time, we had 65 interested families. Twenty of those families fully qualified for a Habitat home and we were only able to select four of them, so the need is really there.”
Harden says this event will be a chance to meet the first four families selected to purchase homes at Parrotts Ferry Village.
The new subdivision is located at 22185 Parrotts Ferry Road, between Sonora and Columbia.
