Calaveras Wins The Gold
The Calaveras Visitors Bureau has once again been awarded the Gold for its exhibit at the California State Fair.
In addition to bringing home the Gold, the Bureau also received a “Best Use Of The Fair Theme” Award for the Most Educational Exhibit.
Calaveras Visitors Bureau Executive Director, Lisa Mayo was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
“This is truly an honor. Credit must be given to our many volunteers who staff the booth and give out all kinds of information and answer many questions about Calaveras County,” stated Mayo.
The Calaveras County Exhibit is an annual major marketing component of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau marketing plan. The Visitors Center has seen fair attendees come to Calaveras after seeing the exhibit at the California State Fair.
It should also be noted that the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau won a “Silver” ribbon for their exhibit.
The California State Fair will continue each day at the Cal Expo grounds in Sacramento, through July 31st.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
