Profiling Calaveras County
Angels Camp, CA– The very first Calaveras County economic profile was recently presented to the Angels Camp City Council.
The 74 page profile, created by the Calaveras County Economic Development Company (CCEDC) and funded by local county businesses, is the first tool to help explain Calaveras County in detail, says Dave Haley, president of the CCEDC.
“What we did was that we presented what Calaveras County is,” said Haley. “As a comparison to the Sonora and Tuolumne County profile, that was an indicator study. Ours is mainly a promotional document to promote our county and the reasons why you should locate here.”
Last week Haley presented the profile during the Angels Camp City Council meeting. He says it will also be distributed to local businesses and those interested in the county.
“The purpose of the profile is to help our Chamber of Commerce and local business associations, counties and realtors, and bankers and residents to attract new businesses into our county,” said Haley. “It’s to enhance existing businesses and explain why it’s great to live in Calaveras County.”
Haley plans on updating the print version every three to five years. The online version can also be veiwed by clicking here.
