What Is The Columbia College Foundation?

Sponsored by:

The Columbia College Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports Columbia College students through scholarships and support for various services, programs, and facilities on campus – such as our athletics teams, student organizations, publications, and community facilities like the campus tennis courts.

Foundation Development Director, Beccie Michael, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

Their current fundraising priority is for the Osher Scholarship Endowment Initiative. It offers an opportunity to create a permanent fund for annual scholarships as inspired by a $25 million gift by the Osher Foundation to the California Community College system. The Osher Foundation has pledged an additional $25 million as match for funds raised by June 30, 2011.

Columbia College’s goal is to raise enough funds to support 25 annual Osher Scholarships, which requires a $500,000 endowment.

For more information, or to learn about naming opportunities for these scholarships that are awarded each year in perpetuity, please click http://www.gocolumbia.edu/foundation

Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

For more information regarding making a gift to the Foundation, call (209) 588-5055.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
