What Is The Senior Expo?

Sponsored by:

What is all of the activity taking place at the Motherlode Fairgrounds today?

It’s the second annual Senior Expo, in the John Muir Building from 9am through 2pm.

Expo Coordinator, Sandi Romena, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

Fifty-six booths are furnishing information to seniors, caregivers and babyboomers on local care-giving options, insurance, medical screenings, veteran services and much more.

The Expo is hosted by the Tuolumne County Commission on Aging and Sierra Senior Providers (Meals on Wheels).

There is also a blood draw taking place, for a minimal fee.

The Kiwanas Club is serving food.

Romena, who also has helped coordinate past “Motherlode Idol” competitions, is inviting people to come watch the second “Senior Idol” contest beginning at 1 PM.

Admission into the Expo is free.
