“Old Man Winter” plans an encore appearance this weekend.
A cold, unstable low pressure system will bring showers and possible thunderstorms to the Motherlode from Saturday night into Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be ten to fifteen degrees below normal on Saturday and as much as fifteen to twenty-five degrees below normal on Sunday.
In the Sierra Nevada, snow levels are expected to lower to around 4000 feet and up to four inches of snow accumulation is possible in the higher locations.
