Angels Camp, CA– Discover Calaveras Events makes its return next month during National Tourism Week.
Lisa Mayo, Executive Director of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
“The idea behind Discover Calaveras is to celebrate tourism and give the community opportunities to learn more about the history and attractions in our area as well as the significance of the tourism industry in Calaveras County,” said Mayo.
The event will start tonight, Wednesday, May 11th, at the Ranch House at Frogtown.
The public is invited free of charge from 5pm to 6:30pm, to see the new building built by ‘Friends of the Fair’ and hear details of the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. A sneak preview of frogs jumping will be given and the Saddle Queen contestants will be on hand. Wine from Chatom Vineyards will be served for adults.
